johngkent.ca does not use analytics software, tracking pixels, or cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for the website to function. We do not track your behaviour on the site.

3. Third-Party Service Providers
Mailchimp
We use Mailchimp to manage our mailing list. Your name and email address are stored in Mailchimp, which is based in the United States. See mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.
Course Creator 360 (CC360)
We use CC360 to host and deliver our online courses. When you enroll, your name and email are stored in CC360’s platform.
Stripe
We use Stripe to process card payments. Your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is not stored on our servers. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. See stripe.com/privacy.
PayPal
We use PayPal as an alternative payment processor. Transactions are handled directly by PayPal. See paypal.com/privacy.
4. Your Rights Under PIPEDA
As a resident of Canada, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request access to your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for us to use your information
- Request deletion of your personal information

5. Mailing List and CASL Compliance
We will only send you commercial electronic messages if you have given us express or implied consent. Every marketing email we send includes our full mailing address and a clear way to unsubscribe.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Mailing list subscribers who unsubscribe will have their information removed from active lists within a reasonable period. Course enrollment records may be retained for administrative and legal purposes.

Some of our service providers (Mailchimp, Stripe, PayPal, CC360) store and process data in the United States. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different privacy laws than Canada. We have ensured that our service providers maintain appropriate data protection standards.

We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and PayPal and is never stored on our servers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
9. Children's Privacy
Our website and courses are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
